Today we started on our journey from the bottom to the top of Africa. We start our journey from Cape Town (South Africa) heading NE towards Zimbabwe.
Finally after weeks of preparation and planning, the last of our visas arrived on Wednesday and so we can begin our adventure. Yesterday we drove from George, excited to be on our way at last, to Cape Town from where we have officially started our trip.
Before we left today we had to still organise our clearance certifcate for the car. It took longer than expected so we only left late in the afternoon, planning to drive through the night to make up for lost time. We are four drivers so we'll be taking turns during the night and so we leave the Cape Province driving into the sunset (Not really, since we're driving east - but it sounds good :-)
